Find SMS
The ‘Find SMS’ feature in Email Marketing module of Retention CRM allows Associations, Chambers of Commerce and Nonprofits to search and manage all their SMS campaigns sent through Retention CRM.
General Functionality of ‘Find SMS’ Feature
Here’s a breakdown of the options and their functionalities:
Find SMS Options
- SMS Name: This field lets you search for a specific SMS campaign by its name.
- SMS Date: Use this option to find SMS campaigns sent within a particular date range.
- Created or Sent by: This filters the results based on the user who created or sent the SMS campaign.
- Is Mailing Archived?:
- Yes: Select this to show only archived SMS campaigns (campaigns you no longer need quick access to).
- No: This option displays only active SMS campaigns (ones you might need to manage or resend).
- SMS Status: This is a critical filter that allows you to find campaigns based on their current stage:
- Scheduled: Campaigns set to go out at a future date and time.
- Running: Campaigns currently sending SMS messages.
- Complete: Campaigns that have finished sending all messages.
- Paused: Campaigns that were stopped mid-delivery and can be resumed.
- Canceled: Campaigns that were stopped and will not be delivered.
- Draft / Unscheduled: Campaigns that are still being created and not scheduled for sending.
- Campaigns: This filter lets you find SMS campaigns associated with specific Retention CRM campaigns (useful for tracking SMS efforts within broader outreach initiatives).

Using ‘Find SMS’ Feature in Association Management
Imagine a nursing association using Retention CRM to manage communication with its members. Here’s how they can leverage ‘Find SMS’:
- Scenario: The association wants to send an SMS reminder to all members about an upcoming CPR certification course.
- Using Find SMS:
- Create a new SMS: Craft the message reminding members about the course date, time, and registration details.
- Target audience: Use Retention CRM’s smart groups to target only members whose CPR certification is expiring soon.
- Schedule the SMS: Set the date and time for the SMS to be sent a few days before the registration deadline.
- Track the campaign: After sending, use ‘Find SMS’ to monitor the campaign’s status (Scheduled initially, then Running and finally Complete). They can also see the number of delivered messages and identify any bounced messages (for invalid phone numbers).
Additional notes
