Manage Price Sets

The “Manage Price Sets” feature in the Finance Management module of Retention CRM allows Associations, Chambers of Commerce and Nonprofits to create and manage flexible pricing options for payments, memberships, and events. It’s ideal when the standard fixed price options aren’t enough for your needs.

General Functionality of the “Manage Price Sets” Feature

How it works:

• Price Sets: These act as containers for various pricing options you define. You can create a separate price set for different scenarios (e.g., membership levels, event registration with add-ons).
• Price Fields: Within a price set, you define individual pricing options. These can be structured in different ways like dropdowns, radio buttons, or text boxes for quantities.

Option/Field	Description
Set Title	A clear and descriptive name for your price set. For example, “Nursing Association Membership Levels” or “Conference Registration with Optional Workshops”
Used For	Indicates which module this price set is associated with (Contribution, Event, or Membership).
Enabled?	Toggles whether the price set is active and available for use on contribution/membership/event pages.
View and Edit Price Fields	Clicking here allows you to define the individual pricing options within this price set.
Settings more	This might offer additional configuration options depending on the type of price set (e.g., minimum amount required for contributions).
Add Set of Price Fields	This button lets you create a new price set with its own pricing options.

Using “Manage Price Sets” in Association Management

A nursing association can leverage “Manage Price Sets” to offer tiered membership options with varying benefits and fees:

1. Create Price Set:
   • Set Title: “Nursing Association Membership Levels”
   • Used For: Membership
   • Enabled? Yes
2. View and Edit Price Fields:
   • Create multiple Price Fields with different options:
     • Field Label: “Basic Membership” (allows access to online resources)
     • Input Field Type: Select (dropdown)
     • Options: $50/year
     • Create additional fields for:
       • Standard Membership (includes online resources + a monthly newsletter) – priced higher
       • Premium Membership (includes all of the above + access to exclusive events) – priced highest

1. Tiered Membership Options

• A professional association can create a price set with different membership levels (Basic, Standard, Premium) at varying price points. Each level can offer different benefits (access to online resources, monthly newsletters, exclusive events). This allows the association to cater to different membership needs and budgets, and generate tiered revenue streams.

2. Event Registration with Optional Add-Ons

• A sports association can create a price set for event registration (conference, tournament) with optional add-on workshops or activities. Attendees can choose the base registration fee and then select the additional workshops they want to attend for an extra cost. This provides flexibility for attendees and allows the association to generate additional revenue from the event.

3. Family Memberships

• An association can create a price set with a base membership fee for a primary member and then offer additional options for family members at a discounted rate. This caters to families and gives another reason to an existing member to renew the membership next year.
